Personal Project - Hunt:Showdown Cosplay Competition
October 2021
There was a cosplay competition for the video game Hunt:Showdown that I decided to take part in last minute. I Decided to make one of the random free hunters in the game as I loved the look of the belt and hardness and she had black hair too which was a bonus!
I made this cosplay in less than a week.
I sourced the hat, shirt, waistcoat and trousers from shops. I then dyed the shirt and the waistcoat along with breaking the items down with dirty down spray and watered down black acrylics. I also sand papered parts.
The belt and harness I made out of EVA foam and Cosclay for the gun bullets. Primed with flexbond and dry brushed with acrylic paints. Sealed with matte clear spray,
The "Fire bomb" I made using a used wine bottle, added paper over the top of the labels using watered down pva then painted over the top. the top of the bottle looking like wax i made using cosclay and old hair clips,
I was over the moon when I came 3rd in the competition and the Devs and social team loved my cosplay!
I was featured on the game overlay and on Steam for a couple of weeks which was very surreal.
Photos taken above by my talented photographer Dad - Rob Tweed. The photoshoot we did together was such a fun day!
